Interview with Pappa Demetrios
Papa Demetrios is a wonderful priest and speaker that we met in Phoenix. With the blessing of Elder Paisios of St. Anthony's Monastery he agreed to be interviewed by us on the topic of the "nous" (or the "mind" as it is often translated in English Bibles). Without a proper understanding of the role and function of the reason, "nous"/mind, heart and soul it is virtually impossible to grasp the Orthodox understanding of fasting, prayer and spiritual discipline, and ultimately the view of salvation as the healing of the human person.
